Wednesday came along, and found me on the Gold Coast, about to meet up with someone for a photoshoot. Whilst waiting, I went into a hippy store and bought juggling balls, having decided to learn. It is proving to be easier than I thought. Anyhow, I met up with the photographer, who took me to a place with white walls and such, and it didn’t take long for the security to come and and question us over our motives. He was pleasedwith our answers and went off to do what ever it is that they do, until later he came back and told us not to stand on the ledge, being as many suicides and suicide atempts have happened there. So we left to head to our next destination, which was a decrpid old building she used that served our purpose perfectly.

It turns out a building can get demolished quite quickly, as we found out when we arrived, and she sat in mute amazement as the building she likes was not where it was supposed to be. This caused us to find alternative sights, which lead us to many industria l estates, and I think we found exactly what we needed. The photos all being done, I said goodbye, then headed back to Brisbane.

On Thursday my Uncle and I went and saw Avatar, which I gotta say was it was impressive. I had my doubts, being as it had so much hype, but I thought it was good.

Then Friday I headed home. Time differences aside, I hit the ground running. As soon as I got home, I was packing stuff, and cleaning, both for th move to Ballarat, and my birthday party the next day. Off to Ballarat that night, I dropped some stuff off at the place where I was moving to, and then went and crashed in Smythesdale.

On Saturday, I got back to Werribee, and cleaned, and cleaned and cleaned. Then I drank, ate, played, drank, and generally had alot of fun. I also got some glowy stuff for my birthday, which was awesome.

On Sunday, I officially lived in Ballarat, and organised my room a bit. And by room, I mean lounge room. lol This Monday passed, I started Uni.. or to be precise, Tafe. Advanced Diploma in Live Production and Events. It is going well, and it is only Tuesday. And It looks like I am booked solid for the next few weeks. Work, concerts, study, more work, and more circus.

This is going to be interesting.

Well, last we left, I was about to jet up to Qld, which was so much fun. Before I left I had my hair bleached and toned, so now it is pretty close to white, and it will get closer and closer till I get it that way.

Heading up to Qld on the friday, I ended up not doing much but just chillin with my Auntie and Uncle, and cousins, whom I was staying with. On the Saturday I went to a BBQ for Ulysses Bikers, and tried to teach my cousin some poi stuff, but he got distracted by teenage girls. Lucky that he himself is teenager.

On the Sunday I went for a bit of a bike ride on the back of my uncles harley. Nothing like cruising downn the freeway at 110 k/ph to make you feel alive! Monday was quite fun, meeting up with a friend in CBD and checking out the local stores for good stuff. It was insanely hot, and I got a bit burnt.

Then on Tuesday I went to visit my sister, and got caught in a huge storm. Which I loved, nearly got wiped out by a wave from a truck passing by. It was all fun and games until I realised my phone was in my pocket. It did not take too kindly to being soaked, and is still playing up.

After that I headed off to the Gold Coast, to meet up with yet another friend, and hang out with him overnight, and then go off to a photoshoot the next day.

One of my best friends, just two weeks ago, took her life. I have been unable to ask what happened, or how.. I guess I have just been afraid of finding out. I want to know, but at the same time, I don’t. She was always so happy and bright, and everytime we hung out it was some crazy adventure. If I didn’t have any ideas, she would have, and we would go and be crazy, or if we both didn’t have ideas, we would just go and find something silly to do. It always ended up us laughing so hard.  I always have a smile for you, Aki, no matter what.

On a brighter note, this friday I effectively move out of my current house, in a roundabout sorta way. My awesome time management skills arranged me to move out on the 14th, whilst I was in Qld. Go me. So I am packing all my stuff, and moving when I get back from Qld on the 21st. Which doesn’t leave much room for anything, considering my course starts the very next day, which just so happens to be my birthday. I turn 26 in just under two weeks.

My new years was fantastic, I danced to Xavier Rudd, in the rain, with about 16 000 people. It was just amazing. Also got to see Moby, which was interesting, and I drank alot, in fact, probably the longest drinking spree I have had. I started on Christmas day, and didn’t finish until the 3rd of Jan.

Pracovna sadly has bit the dust, hopefully it will rise like the phoenix, and be the powerhouse we all envision it to be. Hopefully. Though it seems there have popped up a fair amount of ebm electro clubs over the last month….

These past two months have been very trying yet I have managed to pull through thanks to my friends. Most espicially one who has made me feel extremely lucky, and she still causes me to wonder what I did to deserve her.

Amongst many new things in my life right now, one stands out, and can walk, and sing, and dance, and bite. Which is to my favour. Smiles all around on that count.

But yes, Interview went well, and it looks extremely promising, as said by them, and now all I have to do is wait for the confirmation. I already have a place to stay worked out and everything. My gods the excitement.

Pracovna went absolutely nuts, loved every minute of it. The lights, the sound, the atmosphere, it was all just great! Next time will be even more so! Looking to buy more things to boost the club, first stop = banner. Then more lights, eventually I wont have to hire any…

As well as that, my stilt act may be growing, looking into buying some dragon masks and such, and working with some people who need new performers and such. It all is such a good end to the year, and seems to be such an awesome start for the next one. Finally everything is falling into place, and I dare say I deserve it.

This Tuesday past I had the interview, and I gotta say, I kicked ass! If only all interviews went that well. I also met up with a friend and bummed around and visited other people whilst I was in town. This included op shop raids, which were quite successful, being that I got a new shirt, bandana and tie..

I am also now the proud owner of a pair of stilts, so they are mine now, and they will be used and fun will be had.

This weekend looks to be yet another hectic one, which leaves me wondering when I will have a break. Tomorrow my uncle comes to town, with my cousin, on his Harley, travelling all the from Brisbane. Then Friday I have a show to see and such and then….

PRACOVNA

Saturday is the launch of my very own little industrial night, in cahoots with another person running a more trad goth event, Boneyard. As well as this, State of Normality is on, and it shall be epic, and then.. Synday Sessions. With Stilts.. O yeh, I am gonna have so much fun this weekend, and hopefully the Monday after will be sleep times and such.

Either way, it will decide the next two years of my life.

Yesterdays post was a little.. down, but everything seems to be looking up now, my uncle is coming down with my cousin, he will visit me and I cannot wait.

On top of that, Pracovna is heading exactly where I want it to go, what with dates almost set for next year, and lots of fun to be had at the launch!

The house if full finally, which means everythinbg is cheaper, which means more money to spend on the club night!

At this point I am focusing on a few things, Pracovna, Uni next year, and the Scavenger hunt, which will take place on the same night as Pracovna, so it should be fun!

I am gonna end this post saying this- The friendships I have made over the last year or so have helped me in many ways, and I am glad to call all of them my friends!

To keep everyone up to speed with NaNo, I have failed to even get 10 000 words. I have since come to the conclusion that writers cannot be workaholics.

As far as work has been, I have been doing rather well, last week I did the lights for a show that worked with youth at risk, which was just as rewarding an experience as the show I did with them a couple of months back. However, I did not like having to see one of the girls breakdown on stage during a very emotional and obviously very personal piece.

But me being me I look to the positives, and I see these people as extremely brave for doing 2 things I can’t do at once, go on stage, and bare themselves whilst doing it. Bravo to them.

It seems I may be human after all, seeing as I can’t help but feel bad about recent events in other peoples lives that I may be partly responsible. Or maybe I am just getting soft with senility.  I can feel it though, I can feel it coming back and I don’t like it. At this point, I just wanna cry, but I don’t know if it is from exhaustion or from other things. Even if it was from pushing myself to hard, I can’t stop. If I stop.. well.. it’s not good for me.

On a better note, my club night is coming along rather nicely, which is great, have the support of an awesome venue, and a great promo team behind me. I think this really could work…

Also, I am unofficially the owner of my very own pair of kangaroo stilts, which is exciting, so going to get heaps better at them, very quickly…

Well, now that that is all out, on with other things.

On Saturday I managed to squeeze out 2000 words for NaNo, but this is as far as I have gotten, but I am getting there slowly. Also, it was too hot that day, but a good day for free slurpees!!!

Sunday was its usual awesome-ness, I finally learnt the poi move “weaving the thread”, which I am happy about, and I made a start with duel staffs, as well as get closer to perfect twriling a staff on my back.

We left pretty early this time, heading back to mine for drinkies, which was fun, went up to the roof, and chilled etc.

As well as watch movies yesterday, I also came up with a name for my concept club- Pracovna. It means Sanctum in Czech, which I think is fitting, and I like the ring of it.

Today was too hot to do anything but sit here and melt. So I did that.

Tomorrow I work, and if I am right, it will be on the Britney concert.. not that I care who is playing, one concert is pretty much the same as another.

On Thursday I am doing a photo shoot for a friend of mine, which is kinda worrying me cuz I have never done anything like this before, so it will be an experience…

Yesterday was fairly interesting, went to the other side of Melbourne, to have tea at a friends house, and on the way got into a converstaion which lasted the whole bus trip there. We just sat and talked about rare bands, good music and all that junk. In the end, I told him to add me on fb, and now there will be a music swap, which I am genuinely excited about, I always love new music.

Anyways, got to my friends house, and they served a very nice vanilla mint tea, which was nom nom. I do like my mint.

This weekend shall be interesting, have a write-in tomorrow, followed by a friends birthday party. Lots of travelling involved which gives me time to read etc.

It looks like this trip to Perth is a no go, unless we can find someone with a minivan, which is highly unlikely. Turns out rental places wont let you take a car across the nullabor. But, I will find a way to make this happen.

Luckily I have a fair amount of time to do this, so I am happy about that. Been invited to a write-in session, which is another first, never been to something like this, so looking forward to something new.

In a few weeks time, I will be acquiring two rats, so I will also be building a rat cage for them, which I have big plans for.

Seems, as the festival season gets closer, I am becoming more and more scarce in my weekend availibilty, much to some peoples dismay, but I cannot turn down work, or it will dry up for me.

I am also in the midst of orgainsing this Perth trip, which I really want to make happen, because it seems to be the last hurrah before I go back to study, and all my time will be taken between study, work, and sleep. For two years… Huzzah..

On the circus note, I can now spin the staff on my back, which I count as a good thing, as it can lead to more elaborate contact twirling tricks. I have alot to learn, but alot of time in which to learn, so that’s good!
